Corey Olson: Head Coach

This will be Coach Olson’s first season as Head Coach of the Pirates and 19th year overall coaching football.  Coach Olson is a special education Teacher at Palatine High School.  He grew up in Minnesota and played college football at Western Illinois University where he was an offensive lineman. Upon graduation, he served as a graduate assistant coach and eventually as the university's defensive line coach. He is married to his wife, Alicia, and they have three children Sage, Travis, and Kyla.

Coach Keller is a Biology and Anatomy/Physiology teacher at Palatine High School.  This is his 7th year at Palatine and his 9th year overall as a football coach.  This will be his fifth year at the varsity level where he coaches wide receivers.  Coach Keller played football as a quarterback, safety, and kicker, as well as basketball at Crystal Lake Central High School.  He graduated with a Bachelor's in Science from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana where he studied Kinesiology.  Coach Keller currently resides in Algonquin with his wife Kaitlyn who is an Optometrist in Crystal Lake, and their 1-year old son Kaden.  His biggest inspirations in his life are his father, Joel, for showing him teh importance of hard work and providing for your family, as well as his mother, Pam who is an inspirational teacher and a loving and caring mother and grandmother.


Kevin Garner: Varsity Assistant Coach - Running Backs

Coach Garner is in his fourth year coaching Football at Palatine (1 yr. sophomore, 2 yrs. Varsity and first year with the Freshman).  This is his 16th year coaching High School football.  Prior to joining Palatine, he was a Varsity Assistant Coach at Immaculate Conception HS where he was part of two State Championship Football Teams.  Coach Garner played his High School Football at Niles North HS.  He is married to his wife, Cindy and has twin boys, Matt and Ryan, who play on the Varsity team.  His parents have had the most influence in his life giving him the support and guidance to be a hard worker and have strong family values.


Chad Bobbit: Varsity Assistant Coach - Defensive Line

Coach Bobbit is a second year coach at Palatine.  He played 4 years of Football, Basketball, and Track & Field at Palatine High School.  He will enter his third year as a Special Education teacher, and his first at Palatine High School this fall.  The most influential people in Coach Bobbit's life have been his parents, Kevin and Nancy, and his brothers JT, Cody, and Jesse.  His father was a math teacher at Palatine High School, as well as a football and track coach, and wrestling announcer.  His mother works in the front office at Palatine High School.  His brothers played football, basketball, baseball, and track & field at Palatine High School as well.

Michael Prentice: Assistant Sophomore Coach - Defense

Coach Prentice is in his sixth year of teaching in the Special Education Department at Palatine High School.  This will be his second year coaching football for the Pirates as the defensive coordinator.  He attended Illinois State University and played for their schools ACHA D1 hockey program.  His wife, Natalie, currently works for Loyola University Medical Center as a Pharmacist.  They recently had an addition to their family, daughter Annie Jo.  He considers his parents and sister as having the most influence in his life.

 


John Nalley: Head Freshman Coach

Coach Nalley is a math teacher and is entering his 29th year coaching football at Palatine.  He is also the Head Track and Field Coach, a position he has held for 25 years.  Coach Nalley played High School football for his Hall of Fame father (Carlin) at LIsle (IL) High School.  Coach Nalley currently resides in Palatine with his wife Anne Marie along wtih their four children Mary Pat, Thomas, Anne Marie, and Margaret.  One interesting fact about Coach Nalley is he was the last Head Track and Field Coach at Northwestern University (they dropped the program in 1988).


Josh Ware: Assistant Freshman Coach

This will be Coach Ware's first year coaching football at Palatine.  He played football at Warren Township High School.  Coach Ware will be entering his first year of teaching math at Palatine this year.  He graduated from Olivet Nazarene University with a degree in Mathematics Education.
